Melbourne has so much to offer. I love experiencing new places and events and sharing them with you. I have an interest in gluten free, vegan and vegetarian diets so I will let you know if you these can be catered for in my reviews.

Enjoying art does not need to be exclusive or expensive. In Hawthorn, not far from the shopping precinct, you will find the Town Hall. It holds a local treasure trove of curated exhibitions, a collection of gallery items and public programs.

Changing regularly, The Gallery collection is divided into four main categories:

Public Art Collection

Have a browse, or if you are seeing something in particular, use the database. You may search for a particular artist, subject, medium; there are also other categories you can search on.

Exhibitions range in style and form, with the latest exhibitions listed on their website. . Have a look to see what is on, who the featured artist may be, or what the theme is.

The Town Hall Gallery also run public programs where you can affordably learn new skills, such as fabric painting. There may also be other events, such as information sessions and discussions. Aligning with the exhibit on patterns which is currently on, for example, there is a panel discussion about pattern: Pattern can by rhythmic, opulent, or meditative. It can also be a master of disguise. . An archive of previous programs will give you an idea of the kind of things that happen in this space.
