in Peterborough showcases the 1916 first-class sleeping car on the first train across the Nullarbor from Port Augusta to Kalgoorlie. It offers visitors the opportunity to learn about major events in the town's history as well as its people and aspects of life.

The main compartment displays a collection of 18 interpretive artefacts representing the past, present and future of Peterborough. It consists of small cabinets and information panels about what makes the town special.

The two sleeping compartments house an incredible screening room with their windows being transformed into screens. These screens show moving landscapes, plus sound effects, to give visitors a sense of what it was like along the narrow gauge line between Broken Hill and Port Pirie. You'll be transported back to the old era of steam as you sit in the compartments and experience the digital rail trip.

is open 7 days a week, and entry is free. It is located on the main street in Peterborough.
