Australia's heritage is a rich and diverse one, so why not revisit some of that by attending the ?

Far from taking a road trip to the outback, the Heritage Weekend will be happening at Caboolture during July. Get ready for a fun-packed weekend, as your family will be able to experience a taste of the old Australian lifestyle first-hand. The authentic atmosphere of this weekend will allow you to see and participate in a way similar to the old settlers: take a stroll though the town and check out the general store, blacksmiths shop, radio museum, cottages and more. You can also see the antique cars, engines and machinery that used to be used, as well as the horse-drawn vehicles and farming equipment.



But this weekend will have its share of fun for all ages: the country carnival feeling will be kept alive, with a jumping castle, merry-go round, train and pony rides, and face painting for the kids. There will also be a colonial reenactment, music, plenty of stalls and a grand parade for the grown-ups to enjoy. You can even visit the gardens and rainforest walk on the day. In addition, plenty of food and drink will be available at the outlets on the day for your convenience.

This great festival will be held at Caboolture Historical Village, which is run by the Caboolture Historical Society. First started in 1959, the Society exists to keep the historic aspects of Caboolture, and Australia, alive. The Historical Village has over 110 000 items of historical significance, and plans to keep growing the collection are still in place. Thus, you can check out some of the items on display on the Heritage Weekend.
