Based on a classic Agatha Christie novel

Tempo theatre, a Canberra non-profit community theatre organisation, is putting on a new production based on the Agatha Christie novel Towards Zero. This detective novel, which was first published in 1944, and then in 1956 was dramatised by Agatha Christie and playwright Gerald Verner, is considered one of Agatha Christie's best works.

The novel centres around, Lady Tressilian who invites Neville Strange for his annual visit at Gull's Point (he has been visiting since he was a boy). Although things quickly get complicated when he insists on bringing both his former wife and his present wife. Neville, of course, seems to think that this is actually an excellent idea.

Although, the story then takes a sad turn when Lady Tressilian old friend Treves dies, and then she is murdered as well. Superintendent Battle, who is on holidays close by, and his nephew are then called in. Together, the Superintendent and his nephew attempt to solve the crime, it what is the last novel the superintendent appears in!

It's a classic whodunit and it will have audiences once again guessing till the final scene of the play who committed the murders!
