As a sign of the remarkabe comradarie and dedication of Brisbane's live music scene, this Friday the Transcontinental Hotel will see the best of Brisbane's Punk and Oi! acts come together to play a benefit gig in support of ex-Plan of Attack guitarist Glenn Mckie and his baby boy Angus. On June 9th, Genns' partner Jacque passed away giving birth to their son. In an incredible display of mateship to raise money for Glenn during this hard time, the Tougher Than Tough gig has been put together.
Live acts include the Brixton Rockers, Mouthguard, and Plan Of Attack, as well as Boss Sounds DJs playing a mix of ska, mod, punk, soul, rocksteady and trojan reggae. A ten dollar entry fee buys you tickets in the raffles that will be drawn throughout the evening and the prizes include signed band merchandise from the Dropkick Murphys, King Hammond, Bad Manners and more. On top of this there are tattoo vouchers to some of the best tattoo parlours in Brisbane, a Warrior Harrington jacket from Atomic Cherry, clothes from Dead Threads, Iron Fist and more, plus a selection of gourmet food hampers.
The final draw of the night will see the winner taking home a Legacy Emerald LP electric guitar.
The Tougher Than Tough benefit is not to be missed by Brisbane's music-lovers. Doors open at 8:00pm.
