Coming soon to Whyalla and Munno Para is the Tough Love seminar - a free event presented by Peter Lyndon-James . The seminar is for those who are living with or are themselves caught up in the grips of ice addiction.

Adelaide has recently been named the ice capital of Australia and our state is in crisis. Lives are being ruined and families are at breaking point.

But, where do people turn when they need help? How do they cope, what are the options? There are rehab clinics in Adelaide, but most have long waiting periods. What do families do while waiting for rehab? What can they do to help break the addictions and bring their loved one back to them?

Tough Love has answers. The questions themselves are tough and the answers are tougher. The program's based on love - love that's tough and is designed to bring the drug user to the point of wanting to change. It's hard but it works. Peter Lyndon-James knows that it works because it's his story. He was a drug user with a $7000 a week habit, sold $40,000 of meth a week as a drug dealer and was a career criminal. He introduced his wife to drugs and spent time in jail.

Approximately seventeen years ago he completely turned his life around. The life of drugs and crime stopped and he committed himself to getting clean and staying clean forever. His dedication to change saw him put back into the community by becoming a chaplain and volunteering at prison. In 2012, he and his wife Amanda opened Shalom House - initially set up to help just a few blokes get through their drug addiction in the same way he did. Word of mouth soon spread and just 6 years later Shalom House now accommodates 140 men of all ages and from all walks of life.

Shalom has been named Australia's toughest rehab clinic - dealing with all sorts of addiction and bringing positive and permanent change to the men and restoring them to their families.

Peter's program of Tough Love is raw and real. The centre has a strong and proven track record of success and it's a rehab clinic that doesn't cost the taxpayer a single cent. All of the costs come from those who reside there.

Peter Lyndon-James, CEO of Shalom House has gone on to achieve massive community respect and recognition - winning the Telstra Business of the Year 2017 , West Australian of the Year in 2017 and 2018 and WA Local Hero in the 2018 Australian of the Year awards.
