Toto's Pizza House

is an Italian, family-owned restaurant on Lygon Street in Carlton and is Australia's first pizzeria (established in 1961). I've been twice now and had great, speedy,
friendly service both times.
Though Toto's is more than just a pizza house, the menu plays it fairly safe - pizza, pasta, chicken parmigiana, steak, chilli prawns etc. (nothing really gourmet) - but the prices are reasonable ($10-$25).
This time I ordered a small Mexican pizza (cheese, capsicum, onion, mushrooms, olives, salami, chilli) which came, after no time at all, served in its pan.
It was delicious - not too oily and really flavoursome. The base was light and crunchy - I devoured the whole pizza in no time. If I had to pick a fault, it would be that there could have been
more topping - everything was so thinly sliced that there wasn't much of it. That, and Michael Buble seemed to be stuck on repeat in the background.

I also ordered a Fanta, because I am a child. $3.80 bought this tall glass.

Though Toto's has heaps of seating, it's not a super fancy place inside - I like that. It meant that I didn't feel self-conscious about not using a knife and fork to eat my pizza.
I also liked the lighting here:

This is where the pizza-making, ice cream-serving magic happens:
