Quebec's travelling circus return to Australia
Audiences may be left captivated and tantalised as the magnificent Empire by Spiegelworld sadly comes to an end, but circus spectators shouldn't be too disheartened when hearing the news that Cirque du Soleil will return to Australian cities at the end of the year, in an all-new Big Top production.

Cirque du Soleil's long-awaited return kicks off with TOTEM, a fascinating journey into the evolution of mankind, which opens in Sydney on October 28, 2014, with Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth performances scheduled from January to July 2015.

Since its world premier in 2010, TOTEM has performed to over 3 million people across 25 global cities, as audiences worldwide are left mesmerised by its theatrical acrobatic performances.

Quebec based Cirque du Soleil commenced its circus adventure in 1984 with a group of just 20 street performers. From humble beginnings, Cirque du Soleil, now in celebrating its 30th year, has matured into a major global organisation, with over 4,000 employees including 1,300 performing artists from close to 50 countries.

Cirque du Soleil's newest travelling circus show, features a cast of over 45 acrobats, actors, singers and musicians. TOTEM illustrates the evolutionary process of species through visual and acrobatic language in Cirque du Soleil's elaborate signature style. Global reviews praise TOTEM's well-presented, flawless performers, and highlight the show's dramatic lighting, striking costumes and captivating music choices.
