Where is , and why should I stay here?

is located in the heart of Coffs Harbour, which is known by most as home to the Big Banana. They are a family operated business hosted by John and Val Saunders, and are within a 5 minute walk from Coffs Harbour's city centres - a wide variety of restaurants, supermarkets, and shops are literally at your feet. There are also heaps of major tourist attractions within a short driving distance away, including the Big Banana Fun Park , Butterfly House , [LINK=www.dolphinmarinemagic.com.au/
]Dolphin Marine Magic[/LINK] and Aquatic Centre to name a few. With everything being conveniently located near your accomodation, is a great place to stay when visiting Coffs Harbour.

The is also in a convenient location for public transport users, with the Intercity/State Bus Terminal directly opposite the property. In case of any emergencies, there are specialist medical practitioners just 700m away on Albany Street, and The Base Hospital a 8 minute drive away, has you covered in all situations. Plus, they have free Foxtel and free, reliable wifi in all the rooms!

Did the sign in the previous photo say that is pet friendly?

Yes, you read correctly - is definitely pet friendly! have rooms that are specifically for guests who are travelling with their pets, whether it be dogs, cats, birds, or other small animals - there are both twin and double pet friendly rooms available. also goes one step further than most accommodation places, to offer free welcome dog biscuits for doggy guests - it was such a nice gesture, and we (Eddy more so than me) really appreciated it. Thank you!

There are, of course, (very reasonable) rules that guests travelling with pets (specifically dogs) should adhere to:
  • Not leaving dogs alone in the room
  • Keep dogs on-leash and under control outside of the room
  • No dogs in the pool area
  • Clean up after your pets

  • Should you need time out, or should you need to leave your dog behind (e.g. if you plan on visiting a national park), doggy day care can be arranged through Paws & Claws Dog Walking & Pet Services with Linda-Maree Saggus - her business cards can be found at reception. Linda has more than 35 years experience and is a lover of all animals - she is "trustworthy, reliable, safety-conscious, friendly & committed to providing excellent care for your feathered, scaled, furry 0-8 legged members of your family".

What are the rooms like at ?

offers 25 rooms including single, double, twin, and family rooms - they cater for all parties for all occasions! All rooms are non-smoking and have air-conditioning, and a 32" Flat Screen digital HD television. Every room, single rooms included, is ensuite, with a private bathroom. There is also a bar sized refrigerator, clock radio, tea and coffee making facilities, and toaster. Microwaves, crockery and cutlery can be provided on request. Private undercover parking is available in designated spots directly outside each room, with a trailer bay for longer or higher vehicles if necessary.

Eddy and I stayed in the pet friendly double room, which we found spacious and comfortable, and big enough for the both of us. The room had all the facilities we needed, and of course, I definitely appreciated the free and fast wifi that I could access from my room! Being an avid recycler, I also appreciated there being a separate tray to place recycles, in addition to a normal bin. Other than that, I'll let the photos of our room speak for themselves.

Although smoking is not permitted inside any of the rooms, it is permitted outside - there is seating outside each room for this purpose, with ashtrays provided too.

    What other facilities does offer?

boasts a large outdoor swimming pool for guests to enjoy, alongside a barbecue and outdoor dining area. Note: Although dogs are allowed at the barbecue area, please refrain from taking them to the poolside. Guests also have the choice to enjoy either a continental or cooked breakfast for an additional fee, which can either be delivered to their own room or eaten outside in the pool or barbecue areas. After hours check in is also available, although requests that guests phone ahead for details.

If it's your first time visiting Coffs Harbour and/or , don't worry if you haven't done enough research because everything you need to know is in the extensive guest compendium provided in each room. It's also worth noting that the wifi password can also be found in here!

What was your experience of ?

The booking process was easy (note: book direct with for the best price guarantee - will accept a cancellation up to 2pm on the day before arrival without charging a cancellation fee), and my queries about them being pet friendly was responded to in an efficient and professional manner. Although Eddy and I visited on the owners' first day on holiday for a much-deserved break and as such did not get a chance to meet John and Val, we were very impressed with the service we received from the relief managers on their first day at . They were very helpful when I couldn't figure out why my lights weren't working (turns out I didn't push my key tag down far enough), and helped out immediately after I called reception. Facilities and room wise, we were again more than happy, and loved how close everything was to our accommodation. Thanks for having us , Eddy and I made a good choice deciding to spend a night here!
