This is a spring afternoon in the hills, where you will wander through orchards and gardens and learn how to grow your own plump blueberries. Blueberries do well in pots, so you can grow this delicious superfood in your own garden, backyard or even on a small balcony.
You will learn about the different varieties of berries and their preferences, enabling you to end up with a productive crop.

Get your plants out of a pot and instead hang them in a beautiful kokedama ball made from recycled and natural materials in this three-hour class. This is a natural fibre planter workshop and you will learn to make Japanese small balls out of recycled materials, such as coffee bags, balls of wool and beads.
All materials and plants are supplied for the one price.

Here you will learn the art of embroidery and get creative! It is a practical workshop for participants to make an original embroidery design. You will also learn a variety of stitch combinations on a test piece of material.

I have a worm farm and find it fascinating watching these little critters eat so much food, multiply and give me great fertiliser for my garden. This workshop will teach you all about worm farming, and the role that these worms play in recycling and waste management. After this, there will be question time and a practical demonstration in setting up, operating and maintaining a worm farm.
The City of Canning is offering residents a $110 subsidy on the purchase of a worm cafe - the subsidised price you need to pay is $115.
