Vegan meals and events have become so popular in the last year or so in Perth - you see them advertised often. There are several vegan cafes opening and some are already established and doing well. With this craze growing bigger every few months, this is a list of the events that you could go to that are vegan.

Perhaps you are not a vegan but are interested in the food that vegans eat - I certainly am! I have no wish to become vegan but I really like the food. I believe that it is quite difficult to prepare a really good vegan meal and with this in mind, this list will save you doing that.

If you are already a vegan, then this list is also for you as you can safely go to any of these establishments and events.

WHOLEFOOD PANTRY STAPLES
When: 3rd August from 1 pm to 4.30 pm
Where: Short Street Kitchen, Stoneville

Creating a wholefood pantry has many benefits for our health, our wallet and the environment. By making our own food it means we know exactly what is in it and we are using real ingredients that are nourishing to our bodies - no chemicals or nasties! When you set this up it also dramatically reduces the use of plastic and packaging waste, giving it another bonus.

This workshop will help and inspire you to use more wholefoods and therefore less processed food into your diet. You will learn how to get started with this project, get some recipes and so much more.

In this demonstration-style workshop you will learn how to make:
  • Seeded crackers
  • Crunchy granola
  • Plant-based milks
  • Coconut Yoghurt
  • Nut Butter
  • Jam
  • Vegetable stock - free from MSG and preservatives, perfect to freeze
  • Vegan chipotle mayonnaise
  • Curry paste (perfect to freeze and pop into some coconut milk for a wholesome midweek curry)

  • You will also receive many tips to help you fix your pantry, as well as alternatives to sugar, dairy and gluten.

Places are limited, so for more information about this event, go to this link.

Cost is just $100 and you can make your bookings at this Eventbrite site.

The morning will start with a guided 15 minute meditation on the banks of the Swan River. Then it is on to a trek for 1ΒΌ hours to the top of the long trail (and back) at Bells Rapids. You will find a lot of lovely rocks and crystals before starting on a 45 minute to 1 hour of Hatha or Yin yoga while looking out over the glorious Swan Valley.
