When the weather starts to heat up, nothing beats enjoying some fun by being in the water.

The list below includes a list of Tidal Baths and Rock Pools in Cronulla and surrounding regions. The list below is perfect for families with little ones as they can enjoy the beach waters without entering the open ocean.

1. Silver Beach
Where: Prince Charles Pde, Kurnell
Details: Silver Beach is unpatrolled and generally is not a safe beach to swim at, however it is relatively popular. Most swimming is focused in the tidal bath/ pool. The waters are calm making it perfect for that family-friendly spot to swim. Click here for the website.

2. Shelly Park Beach
Where: Shelly Park, Ewos Pde, Cronulla
Details: The rock pool is quite large and juts out to the beach. It is popular with the little ones, making it great for families. There is a smooth path that leads all the way down to the rock pool as well as a wheelchair ramp into the water itself.

3. Lilli Pilli Baths
Where: Lilli Pilli Point Rd, Lilli Pilli
Details: This is a unique spot that offers one of the most picturesque views without the hassle of the beach. The rock pool is located right on the river. It is quiet and secluded, making it a perfect day out without the crowds.

4. Oak Park Rock Pools
Where: 156-164 Ewos Pde, Cronulla
Details: There are two rock pools to enjoy here. The beach is unpatrolled and the rock pool is popular with swimmers.

5. North & South Cronulla Beach
Where: Prince St, Cronulla
Details: This is a delightful swim in the sunshine as it is a large pool. The rock pool is raised up higher than the beach/ rock platform at the south-end of the beach, which means that it remains clear of incoming waves for longer. The north-side of the beach is a small pool and offers a bit more of a wave.



6. Como Tidal Baths
Where: 2 Cremona Rd, Como
Details: The beach is unpatrolled and is located adjacent to Como Swim Complex and Como Pleasure Grounds. It is a timber and netted river pool, which offers lovely views over the river.

7. Gunnamatta Bay Tidal Baths **
Where: 34/41R Nicholson Pde, Cronulla
Details: The beach is unpatrolled and is a timber netted bath. The waters are quite calm making it great for the little ones and non-confident swimmers.

8. Gymea Bay Baths Reserve
Where: 38 Ellesmere Rd, Gymea Bay
Details: These Heritage-Listed baths are a popular swimming spot among locals and visitors alike. The netted baths are dog-friendly, making it great for everyone in the family to enjoy.
