Top Three Events for an Action Filled Summer

The sun is finally out and it looks like it's going to stay (oh no, I hope I didn't jinx it). But this is all the more reason to be out and about and active. These are three great events that you can really experience some first class action, or… severe panting!

Event 1: Eureka Climb
When: 18th November 2012
Where: Eureka Tower/7 Riverside Quay, Southbank


[ADVERT]This is an event with a cause and places are selling out fast. If you are still interested sign up as fast as you can .

There are several categories in which you can participate. If you are competitive and want to race up Melbourne's tallest skyscraper in record time, Climber is the category for you. You will also be eligible for receiving prizes. If racing is not your thing but you want to take part anyway (without breaking in to sweat), Walker is the category to take part in. You can also enter as a team of four.

So head on to Southbank for Australia's biggest vertical race and conquer 1642 stairs and raise money for charities Whitelion and Interplast.

Event 2: 67th Australian DanceSport Championship
When: 29th November- 2nd December 2012
Where: Hisense Arena, Melbourne, Victoria


Get your groove on as talented dancers from all over the world dazzle you with some moves that everyone will probably try to recreate in the shower - just don't slip.

This year the event will also host World DanceSport Championship Standard featuring waltz, tango, Viennese waltz, foxtrot and quickstep. If you love dancing, this is definitely one festival of dance you should consider going to.

Event 3: Royal Walk
When: 2nd December 2012
Where: Visy Park (Princess Park), Carlton


The Royal Melbourne Hospital has been caring for Victorians for 164 years. On the 2nd of November, their service is appreciated and it is an opportunity for friends, family to come together and stroll through 4km of the beautiful Princess Park in order to return the love to Royal Melbourne Hospital. It doesn't just stop there; enjoy some well-deserved food at the food stalls, entertainment to be offered at the park. Santa too will be making an early Christmas visit for the kids.
