We all like having fun. We all like to laugh and be entertained. We all have that child deep within us that is always looking forward to new things, new activities and new fun experiences.

As travelling is one of my passions, and having fun while travelling is imperative, I've decided to combine my list of top fun activities in each state. And let's start from beautiful NSW.

As Sydney tower is somewhat a symbol of Sydney, alongside with Sydney Harbour Bridge, my pick would be Sydney Tower Eye Skywalk experience . You can go to the open air platform and see 360 degree views of the city while hearing the buzz of city life right under your feet. It is a fun activity for the whole family and the staff ensures that all the participants feel secure yet entertained at all times. And even though Sydney tower is significantly shorter than its counterparts in China and Japan, this experience is still one of those must do activities for many people.

Let's go West now - destination Western Australia. Most of people know that famous spot where one can hand feed the dolphins. Yes, we are talking about Monkey Mia . You can either fly to this destination from Perth or get there by car (bear in mind that it is about 850 km from Perth). Here you can take part in supervised dolphin feeding which usually happens some time between 8 am and midday. However, you might decide to become a volunteer to get more of a hands on experience with dolphins.

In neighbouring South Australia the top of the list is shark cage diving. To have this experience, you need to head down to Port Lincoln, which is more than 600 km away from Adelaide, and contact one of the shark cage diving operators in the area. You do not need to hold any diver's certification as the cage is submerged under the water just enough to have the thrill of your life but still feel close to the surface. If you book your experience with Adventure Bay Charters , you'll have AUD 50.00 discount on any further tours with them. Just check their "Swim with the sealions" offer.

Our next destination is Northern Territory. It has more experiences than any other state to compete for the top rank on my list. After much of thinking, based on fun factor, I'd choose the controlled crocodile dive experience . Located in the heart of Darwin, this place will not only test your mental strength when put in front of the big croc (yes, you are in the cage but the fear factor will not let you calm down), but also offers a fun activity of crocodile fishing from a platform, an experience of holding a baby croc in your arms and a full program of other activities not to be missed.

Now moving to Queensland - Sunshine State. One of the destinations that attract so many visitors from all around the world is obviously the Great Barrier Reef. So many words, articles, and books are written about the place, and it is definitely one of the destinations to visit while we are on this planet. There are so many places to visit to enjoy snorkeling, remote islands, swimming, fishing, sailing. However, my pick would be jet ski safari tours in Whitsundays.

All you need to do is just head up to Airlie Beach in QLD and contact the operator. They will arrange a pick up of you and your mates from your accommodation in Airlie Beach and will take you in their trooper truck to a beautiful hide away where after a brief but important instructions session you'll embark on a wonderful adventure. Once again, you do not need to hold a license and the tours are generally conducted twice a day for either morning or afternoon session.

The operator offers great value for money as sumptious lunch is included.

Our next destination is smaller in size Victoria. And while the Great Ocean Road is one of the main destinations and it is indeed one of the best places for landscape and seascape photography, I'd head to South West Victoria and visit a small place called Dartmoor . It has a very unusual open air collection of Tree Carvings . While away from the mainstream tourist, this place offers visitors enjoyment of its carvings collection and a relaxed place to spend a night or a weekend.

Our last mainland destination is the capital. While very small in size, ACT and capital city Canberra have a lot to offer the visitor. And while Parliament House is one of the top destinations in the city for citizens and foreign visitors alike, I'd mention another place that has a "fun" factor attached. And that is Cockington Green Gardens. Take your time to enjoy the gardens and spend a quiet family day while passing by some of the famous buildings in the world in their miniature size. This is definitely an enjoyable experience for both adults and young children.

Last but not least to mention is Tasmania. As my feet did not step on its land, I am still open to suggestions and comments about best, most interesting and most fun activity in TAS. Is it Cradle Mt Abseiling ? Or Franklin River rafting ? What's your best pick in Tasmania and all around Australia? What is your favourite fun activity?
