Highlights of What's On in Adelaide in November
There's no mistaking that Christmas is close as we move into November. The
Christmas Pageant returns again in the middle of the month to delight the kids of Adelaide, and Christmas decorations are going up already. There are so many festivals, fairs and markets in Adelaide coming up in November that we've listed all of the markets separately this month.
If you're just looking for a good time and exciting things to do, then look no further than the
Adelaide Shorebirds Festival which runs all through November. The festival is actually not just for bird enthusiasts: it's for people like you that want to take a free Port River cruise, go snorkelling or kayaking free, or take the family on a free guided walk with a ranger. Why travel to Thailand to get the flavours of South East Asia when a trip to Glenelg on Saturday November 4 will bring you a taste of amazing Thai foods and culture free at the
Loy Krathong Festival .
On the Sunday head for
Mount Lofty in the Adelaide Hills to help the Botanic Garden celebrate
their 40th birthday . You'll find lots of free things to do and can try tasty wine and cider from local Adelaide Hills producers
The following weekend brings the
Great South Aussie Duck Race in Strathalbyn and you would be quackers to miss the fun - if you do, don't let it get you 'down' though.
What's On in Adelaide - Free Things to Do in November
South Australia's Feast Festival is back in November to celebrate life for the LGBTIQ community and their friends. It kicks off with the free and family-friendly
Adelaide Pride March , and the festival ends with a fantastic Picnic in the Park (not free).
Another very popular free event south of Adelaide is the Strawberry Fair on Sunday November 5 which is packed with fun for kids and adults. You'll rarely find a primary school fair with such variety of food available. Another one for families is the free outdoor cinema screening Finding Dory at
Civic Park .
Fans of hot rods, vintage cars and motorsports will be at the
Horsepower Crew - In the Army Motor Show on November 26, or alternatively you can catch the City of Onkaparinga
Christmas Pageant . If you're quick you might catch both!
For the dog lovers you
must check out the

Belair National Park too.
