Let Them Eat Cake or Even Better, Amazing Desserts
Melbourne seems to be just one chocolate or Patisserie bar after another for miles and miles. In fact, Melbourne is often known as the city of treats, so how do you pin this list down to just 3?

The bottom line is, we can't - but I will begin by adding three here that you may not have experienced as yet:

One of my favourite sweet spots in Melbourne is the Burch and Purchese outlet located at 647 Chapel Street South Yarra.

It is such a fun place to enter, with chocolate bars on the walls and a large display cabinet filled with sweets.

Darren Purchese began as a judge on MasterChef and now creates these gorgeous cakes for you to enjoy in store or to take home with you.

In Melbourne, deciding on which desserts to have can be more difficult than finding a place to buy sweet treats.

At Om Nom Nom's you can choose a creative dessert degustation menu, where you don't have to choose! You can have an entire platter filled with small sweet treats, perfect to share with a friend.

They are located at 187 Flinders Lane.

Brunetti's is an institute in Melbourne. They have now moved to a larger location enabling more of your decadent treats to be found in one place.

It seems that no matter what takes your fancy, you can find it at Brunetti's, whether it is Italian made sorbet gelatos, handmade small biscuits, hand dipped ice creams or a huge array of cakes and pastries. You can join in with great coffee or even a Nutella milkshake or take home a tray of wonderful treats.

At the moment these are my top 3 choices, although being as changeable as Melbourne's weather, new places pop up and favorites change regularly.

Just in case these don't tick all your boxes or you need some more inspiration, I also love:

Pardon My French Creperie, South Yarra

The French Milkbar

Sweet Crumble Cafe

Mámor Chocolates of Melbourne

Burch and Purchese certainly has an outstanding reputation and it is easy to see why. Indeed, let us all eat sweets, something for which I need no encouragement at all.
