It's time to escape to the air conditioning of the cinemas and relax with a family movie. Here are your top summer school holiday picks. These are all rated PG.

Rise of the Guardians
From DreamWorks Animation, here's the story of a bunch of legends (including Santa, the Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy) who unite to protect the hopes, beliefs and imagination of children all over the world. The film features the voices of Hugh Jackman, Isla Fisher, Jude Law, Chris Pine and Alec Baldwin.

Wreck-It Ralph
This one's from Disney and Wreck-it Ralph is the villain of an arcade game. He's fed up with being the bad guy and ends up moving throughout different games in an attempt to be a hero. John C Reilly and Sarah Silverman are two of the star voices in this one.

Parental Guidance
Looking like they've gone a bit too far with the Botox, comedy legends Billy Crystal and Bette Midler are back and this time they're babysitting the grandkids ... for a whole week. The rules go out the door when the oldies move in. Also stars Marisa Tomei.

Just like that kid from The Sixth Sense, Norman sees dead people. He can also speak to them. When Norman's small town comes under siege by zombies, this misunderstood lil kid's skills are needed to take on ghosts, witches and ghouls to save his town from a centuries-old curse.

Your Comment
We went to the previews of Wresk-It Ralph and Rise Of The Guardians. Rise... is a great film, and the 7yo was into it from the first 5 minutes. Ralph, on the other hand, left my 7yo bored.

That's how one 7 year old saw them.
