My favourite picks at the
Adelaide Fringe festival for 2014 are:
1.The Late Show- Featuring the best that the Garden of Unearthly Delights has to offer. Features a hand-picked selection from this year's festival. Stay up late to see an all-star circus & comedy extravaganza in a mind-boggling great gala! From Thursday 20th Feb- Sunday 16th March at the Little Big Top in the Garden of Unearthly Delights. All tickets $30 (rated PG- 1 hour).

2. Umbilical Brothers- Shane Dundas and David Collins are a couple of Aussie comedic icons who have been performing around the world for over 7 years. Their performances combine mime with ordinary dialogue and incredible vocal sound effects. Making scant use of props and lighting, they use mimicry, silliness, parody and slapstick to hilarious effect. From Friday 21st Feb- Sun 16th March at the Royalty Theatre in Angas st. Tickets from $35 (rated PG- 1 hour). You can watch a snippet of these guys in action
here.

3.Limbo- This internationally acclaimed show was the pick of the Fringe for 2013. Limbo is a dirty, dangerous circus-cabaret; featuring contortion, dance, aerial acrobatics, stunts and illusions set to a great original, live music score. I was lucky enough to witness this irresistible, jaw dropping show last year and it was well worth the price. From Tuesday 18th Feb- Sun 16th March at the Paradiso Spiegeltent in the Garden of Unearthly Delights. Tickets from $48 (rated PG- 75 mins).

4.Chris Taylor and Andrew Hansen- A One Man Show- Two of the stars of The Chaser's War On Everything; Andrew Hansen and Chris Taylor team up for a night of witty, insightful, irreverant showcase of brand new sketches and songs. Their dissection of popular culture is tipped to feature daring, never-before-seen concepts such as a Game of Thrones parody, a Kevin Rudd impression, and a lengthy tribute to Rolf Harris. Really? 3 shows only from Friday 28th Feb- Sun 2nd March at the Paradiso Spiegeltent in the Garden of Unearthly Delights. Tickets from $35 (rated PG- 60 mins).

If you enjoyed them in the Hamster Wheel and The Chaser, you'll love them in this. Image courtesy Adelaide Fringe website.
5.We Should Quit- The winner of the best circus at the 2013 Melbourne Fringe; this physical comedy is set in the Corporate world. Explores the lives of two office workers stuck in a rut of their daily, humdrum routine (something that most of us can probably relate to). Combining circus with contemporary clowning "We Should Quit" incorporates traditional circus acts with acrobatics and blurs the line between normal and abnormal. Only 8 performances from Friday 28th Feb- Sun 9th March at Ukiyo, Royal Croquet Club, Victoria Square. Tickets from $15 (rated PG- 55 mins).

6.The Last Lunch- Wizard Sandwiches- Sketch comedy quintet Wizard Sandwiches were winners of the 2013 Melbourne Fringe 'PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD'. Now in Adelaide they are presenting an hour of fast paced, high energy sketches with a large dose of absurdity. 8 shows only from Monay 24th Feb- Tuesday 4th March at Tuxedo Cat at Raj House, 54 Hyde st. Tickets from $13 (rated G- 60 mins).
