How exciting - winter can be mothballed for another year, spring has arrived and school holidays are a hop and a skip away. And I just know that parents and grandparents too are looking for ways and means to keep the children entertained and amused, without breaking the bank.
Here is my list (in alphabetical order) of top September school holiday activities on the Sunny Coast - I'm hoping by putting them all 'under two roofs' - Part 1 and Part 2 - it will make for easier planning and pre-booking, if necessary.

Go country during the school holidays at the fantastic petting farm in North Arm, now called Farmyard Espresso - Animal Sanctuary. When I wrote about The Animal Sanctuary it was called PoulTree Park, but it's still the same great location with the same fabulous aim of allowing children to interact with miniature farm animals.
Entry tickets are ONLY $5 per person and can be pre-purchased online here - this is a better deal as non-ticket holders get less time with the animals. Mums and dads can pre-order their Farmyard Espresso voucher online here too - a great idea. Pack a picnic and head out to the Animal Sanctuary for a wonderful morning of animal loving, petting and feeding - who doesn't love a fluffy cuddle. Open days at the Animal Sanctuary are weather dependent.
