There is certainly no shortage of school holiday events and programs in Ipswich. Save time with the following list, outlining the best regional school holiday activities.

1. Construction Site
(21 September 10 November, 10am-5pm daily, Ipswich Art Gallery)

Construction Site is a fun, interactive art activity where children can creatively build and play with large foam blocks. Construct the ultimate cubby house, a castle, a sky-scraper etc.

There's even a special space for children under 2 years to enjoy.

Free entry, bookings not required.

2. Little Humpty Children's Day
(25 September, 9am -2pm, 8 Charles Chauvel Drive, Harrisville)

Bring the children to a special school holiday event at Summerland Camels. Enjoy a farm tour and feed the camels (one bag provided per person). The day will also include a story time session, face painting and camel arts and crafts.

10 per person, children aged 3 years and under are free. Camel rides and food additional costings. Book online.

3. Jungle Interactive Play Zone
(21 September - 6 October, 10am, Orion Springfield Central)

Embark on an adventure with your children to uncover the hidden jungle and its treasure.

Activities include digging for lost gold, jungle prize grab and jungle backpack decorating.

Free of charge, bookings required for backpack activity.

4. Dinosaur Day
(10am - 12:30pm and 1:30 - 3:30pm, Redbank Plains Community Centre)

Children 5-11 years of age and their parents are invited to attend the morning session and/or afternoon session at a special dinosaur-themed event.

Morning activities will include a Wild Encounters Reptile Show and
fossil making.

The afternoon session will feature a screening of the film "Ice Age."

Free entry, registration is essential.

5. Animal Encounters @ Ipswich Nature Centre
(9am and 11am sessions, 25 and 27 September, 2 and 4 October)

Enjoy a special VIP guided walking tour of the Ipswich Nature Centre. Learn about caring for wildlife, meet barnyard animals, help the keepers with their feedings and get to know all the local residents.

Entry is $12 adults, $10 concession, $8 children and $30 family
(Adults / 2 Children or 1 Adult / 3 Children).
