My favourite rooftop bars, Rooftop, Blue Diamond, Emerald Peacock, Madame Brussels have already had their mention in my first WEN article
"Where's The Best Rooftop Bar?", as have Siglo and Cabinet Bar and Balcony in
"Where's The Best Martini?"; but as the warmth of Spring beckons rooftop frivolity, I thought it was time to write a follow up article, and add five more fabulously flirty rooftop bars.
Dubai Tower at Campari House
1. Campari HouseAn old favourite because of their deliciously wicked Dubai Tower cocktail,
Campari House is located at 23-25 Hardware Lane, Melbourne. Drink specials every Saturday 6-8pm, Trivia on Sundays 5-7pm, and 2 levels below offering restaurant meals, and a lounge, this is a one stop venue that is sure to please.
2. The Aylesbury
Located at 103 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne,
The Aylesbury Bar and Restaurant opens 7 days a week from 3pm til late. Enjoy leafy city views while sipping on classic cocktails, wine, or speciality beers in an intimate space. Opening soon, Sunday night shared Spanish Paellas from 3pm. Keep posted!
3. Red HummingbirdLocated at 246 Russell Street, Melbourne,
The Red Hummingbird offers a chilled out rooftop with private areas and an intimate atmosphere. Fabulous mixologists who cater to particular requests with a smile, views of artwork, swinging wicker chairs, hidden alcoves and seductive lighting, make this a perfect place for a date.
4. The DeckLocated at the corner of Flinders and King Street (entry via Mercantile Place),
The Deck is worth the finding. Overpriced and limited drink choices, but comfortable inviting couches with plush cushions and the vibrant atmosphere of socialising trend setting professionals, will whisk you away to another rooftop paradise. DJ on Fridays and Saturdays to get you up and dancing.
5. The PalmzEscape to a tropical Island atmosphere with palm trees, a grass hut bar, and brightly coloured plastic chairs at
The Palmz, 193 Bourke Street. Perfect for a hot summer night.
So enjoy the feeling of being on top of the world while drinking and catching up with old friends and meeting new ones.
