Salsa dancing is sensual, the movement of your hips betraying your emotions and passionate nature. Anyone who has seen professional salsa dancers can't help feeling in awe at how the partners connect and the raw sexual energy displayed through their routine. If you both don't know how to salsa yet, do not fret. There are plenty of salsa dancing teachers in Brisbane, read this article by Sheree for a list of classes available. Once you have gained some confidence, head to Casablanca in Paddington for a fun, seductive night with salsa and latin dancing and live music. Join the dancers on the dance floor as they show off their moves and embrace the romance of salsa dancing. If in doubt, get a few Latin friends to come along with you. As it is part of their culture, they will motivate you to get off your seat and give it a go and once you start, it is hard to stop!
If you want to experience the romance of Venice in Italy, a ride on a themed gondola along the Brisbane river may just do the trick to spice up your relationship.
With the glowing city lights and the smooth glide of the gondolas, it is difficult to feel anything but romantic when surrounded in such a luxurious atmosphere. The gondola has a fire-weather proof cabin with soft sheepskin covered seats and a ridged soundproof panel which separates you from your gondolier if you like total privacy.
The gondola ride leaves from the "The Boardwalk", 188 Breakfast Creek Road Newstead, Brisbane right near the Breakfast Creek Wharf. This option may be for special occasions only like anniversaries or if you need to pop that 'special question' (or if you need to do something major to make up for disappointing your other half) due to its price.
A private evening dinner cruise costs $260 per couple for 1 hour which includes succulent seafood and dinner by candlelight or a selection from a special menu as you glide peacefully down the riverside. If you want to skip the food, you can opt for an evening cuddle cruise which is $150 per couple on special at the moment. Bring your own drinks. Click here for more information.
The Wheel of Brisbane

Not strictly for tourists, the Wheel of Brisbane can stir up some romance as well when you look out together at the bird's eye view of the Brisbane skyline. A 360 degree panoramic view coupled with alone private time in your own fully enclosed air-conditioned capsule may stir up some old memories. You will be taken 60m above ground as you both ponder the going-ons of all the tiny ant-like passer-bys at the bottom.
Tickets cost $15 per person or $95 for a private gondola. After you descend to the ground, continue your romantic night with a short Green Cabs which is based at the base of the wheel. If you enjoy a Green Cab, you are also entitled to a two for one deal at the Wheel of Brisbane, saving $15!
