Thanks to the new Westfield Sydney opening up (the new versions have really lifted their game) we are talking about establishments such as the
Sky Phoenix restaurant. Prompt and efficient service with high quality yum cha in a trendy and modern ambient locale. Much better than when this establishment was at the Skygarden complex prior to becoming Westfield Sydney. It was worth the wait. It seems like good things happen to those who wait. If Chinatown feels like a bit of a hike on a Friday or Saturday night, then Sky Phoenix has been designed with you and your wellbeing in mind. Delicious and satisfying prawn and spinach dumplings. Just anything of the steamed variety (including just the plain vegetables) is trustworthy with a pot of jasmine tea.
The
Sydney Tower Buffet (yes and banquet heaven) still has it's style and classic (yet formal and chic) customer service. Great for those annual business functions or otherwise for a formal get together, maybe even for a special birthday party occasion. Great wine lists and meat that is so juicy (especially the chicken) and succulent.
For quality and authentic Thai food, you cannot go past
Satasia restaurant in Balmain, and this restaurant is also perfect if you want to eat out at a quality, traditional establishment and you are on a bit of a budget - then by all means keep Balmin in mind. Bon appetit
