If you ever considered visiting San Francisco only to fail your plans to visit, you've done a terrible mistake. I'm serious. This place offers a truly wonderful environment that's full of nature, beauty, and new culinary experiences that are ready for those who can afford it.
Indeed, the biggest disadvantage of San Francisco is that the prices are somehow expensive compared to other cities. However, if your financial circumstances are suited, you should continue reading. In today's post, I'm going to give you 5 straightforward reasons for which San Francisco is a great place to live.
1. The city is small, so you can walk to every objective
In San Francisco, if you want to go to the gym, you go by foot. If you want a coffee, you go by foot. This city is really small, measuring 121.4 km2. Walking through the city is extremely stimulating, as there are all sorts of beautiful landscapes and sights all over the place.
The winding streets, the mountains, the sea, the parks…these elements are truly contributing to the completeness of this city.
2. Amazing variety of food
The restaurant scene is different from most cities. In San Francisco, you can enjoy different dishes from local, specific eating places and not just restaurant chains. You can find a lot to eat in this city as there's a rich competition between the locals. Even if the city is generally expensive, it is impressive how much you can eat for really decent prices.
3. Friendly and kind people
There are lots of kind and helpful individuals all around the place. If you can't find something, just ask around; you'll get your answer from the first few people you approach. The default assumption is courtesy and you can observe indulgence even from the cab drivers (who are usually not that indulgent in most of the places).
4. Breathtaking views everywhere you go
As I've already mentioned, San Francisco is a beautiful city full of nice views every where you go. You should crest some hills in order to get better visuals. You can find a decent amount of nature and lovely parks which are both small and big, and the buildings aren't oppressive nor tall (which makes the blue sky look amazing.)
5. You can find free stuff occasionally
Every now and then, you can find free stuff around town. For example, during my venture in San Francisco, I got to visit 5 museums for free, and I had a lot of fun for free too by attending several street festivals and street parties. By the way – they're very frequent in San Francisco. Or if you prefer, you can look for free food at a farmer's market.
As stated earlier, San Francisco is an amazing town that can host you with much care and friendliness. As with every city, it could work for you perfectly or it could not be the appropriate place to spend your time at. You should make that decision only after visiting and seeing with your own eyes!
