"So where are we going to watch the fireworks this year?" is a question that inevitably will come up between groups of friends and families around this time of year. And as everyone knows, the huge crowds congregating in Sydney can make this celebration a frustrating one. So here to help you is some of the best spots to kick back and enjoy the spectacular Sydney fireworks.

Come on, surely you're not going to be at home watching the fireworks are you? You're not? Good.
This one is ideal for families, with a large grassed area able to fit roughly 700 people with optimal views of the entire Harbour and fireworks display. There's also live music and food available to boot, to keep you entertained throughout the night.
An Island There's a number of celebrations being held on the multitude of Harbour Islands, all of them with fantastic views of the fireworks. It's worth checking out the events on Cockatoo Island, Shark Island and Fort Denison in particular.

The Royal Botanical Gardens The Botanical Gardens also offer a prime location to catch the display. The Gardens are also hosting a number of events including Midnight at the Oasis and Lawn with a View, where you can get involved with the celebrations.
