Festive dining places for breakfast, lunch or dinner
It's not long till Christmas, who's doing the cooking at your place? If you want a break from cooking a stuffed turducken, peeling giant prawns, baking chocolate puddings and cleaning the house, head to these places where someone else cooks for you and the family.

1. Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park

Sheraton's well-regarded restaurant, Feast, is hosting a sumptuous Grand Christmas Dinner, a buffet with all the family favourites, 6.00pm to 10.00pm. A delicious selection of seafood, charcuterie, carving station, roast turkey, glazed leg ham, a range of desserts including pavlova, fruit mince pies, Christmas lamington, a berry trifle, plus a chocolate fountain, an ice cream counter as well as a Christmas hot dessert.

Adults (13 years and older) $339 per person, wine package available for additional $45 per person. Children 4 – 12 years $174 per person.

2. Sofitel Sydney Wentworth

Enjoy French elegance at its grandest in the splendid Wentworth Ballroom as it is transformed to the most sophisticated 'Art de Noel' backdrop. Guests will delight in a three hour extravaganza starting at 12pm. A generous seafood and carvery buffet lunch including oysters, crab, lobster bisque, slow roasted turkey breast, spiced honey glazed ham, leg of lamb, as well as Christmas classic desserts and pastries. There will be live entertainment and none other than the special bearded guest, Santa himself.

Adults $249 including wines, beers and soft drinks. Children 4 – 17 years $99. Accor Plus Members receive 10% discount.

3. Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel

Silvester's Restaurant is pulling out all stops for you to enjoy an astonishing three-tier seafood tower to share with your loved ones over lunch from 12.30pm. Tempting you are Sydney Rock Oysters, WA Rock Lobster, Prawns, Scallops, Yellow Fin Tuna Tartare, Hiramasa Kingfish Crudo, sauces and condiments.

For the festive mains, there will be a stunning choice of Baked Glacier 51 Toothfish or Slow Cooked Wagyu Short Ribs or indulge in the Roasted Turkey Breast, served with cranberry sauce, gravy, caramelised brussels sprouts, Paris mash and honey glazed carrots – yum.

It doesn't end there. There is a dessert buffet to die for, as well as a 2.5 hour premium wine and beer selection. Food only option is $219 for adults or $299 for food and drinks package. Kids 5 -12 years are $99.00. Kids under five are free.

4. Shangri-La Hotel Sydney

With a breathtaking view over one of the most spectacular harbours in the world, Altitude Restaurant is hosting a Christmas Day lunch from 12.30pm. Indulge in a five-course share-style menu with festive foodie delights including oysters and prawns, roast turkey and pavlova, classic fruit mince tarts and a delicious yule log, you will be yearning for more.

Adults $299 per person and $199 child per person.

5. Parkroyal Parramatta

Celebrate Christmas Day at Parkroyal Parramatta from 12.30pm to 3.30pm. An indulgent buffet lunch with a three hour beverage package plus live music and carollers. What more could you ask for? Well, the man in the red suit will be bringing gifts for the kiddies. The delicious menu will include all your favourite Christmas eats with seafood, hot and cold dishes, delicious desserts. As well as these indulgences, a chocolate fountain awaits. This is Christmas pleasure at its best.

Adults $179 per person, young adults 13 – 17 years $85 and children 5 – 12 years $55. Under five's are free.

6. Bathers Pavilion

If you'd prefer to give Christmas Dinner a miss but still want your festive fill, head to Bathers Pavilion at Balmoral for Christmas Day breakfast and lunch. The view over Middle Harbour is sensational.

The Bistro and the Restaurant have staggered sitting times.

Bistro Breakfast is 8.00am and 8.15am. Adults $95, children $50.
Bistro Lunch sitting times are 11.30am and 2.30pm. Adults $220, children $110.

Restaurant Breakfast is 8.30am and 8.45am. Adults $150, children $75.
Restaurant Lunch sitting times are 11:30am, 11:45am and 2:30pm. Adults $320, children $110.

7. Rydges Campbelltown

If you don't feel like traipsing into the Sydney CBD, tantalise your taste buds at Rydges Campbelltown where you can enjoy a three hour buffet lunch from 12pm and appreciate the festive day with your loved ones.There will be live entertainment and the best bit, gifts for the kiddies. Keep them amused and tummies full.

Adults $179 per person, young adults 13 – 17 years $99 per person, children 3 – 12 years $69 and under three years are free.

8. Star Buffet

With three locations around Sydney and one in Canberra, Star Buffet is the place to visit, whether it's Christmas or not. Each Star Buffet has a Christmas Seafood Lunch with two lunch sessions.

Adults $72.80 and children under 12 years $5.20 per age of the child. Come ye, come all, this is great value for a Christmas Day function.

9. Local Clubs

Consider your local R.S.L. or sports club for Christmas Day dining. The Epping Club offers a seafood and carvery buffet lunch with an indulgent dessert buffet and a visit from the bearded man himself, Santa, with gifts for the kids.
