The school holidays are almost here and it is time to think about what to do for a whole
two weeks this October! The Nelson Bay and Port Stephens region has a wide array of kid-friendly activities and venues to check out (see
here for ideas), however it is also interesting to see what else there is to do around the region. Do your kids love to be
outdoors and get out on the water ? Or do they prefer quieter activities
indoors ? Do they love cute and fluffy farm animals? If so, you can't go past
Oakvale Wildlife Park , which has a farmyard area that is perfect for the little ones. Older kids may like to go on a
whale watching cruise , or see if they can spot them from local
lookouts , as they make their migration south.
Keep reading for a range of ideas on what to do these school holidays. You may want to get out the diary - they
all sound like fun!
