Shhh: Vegan USA Diners, Rooftop Bars, 1000 Layer Patisseries
Melburnians love new! All the latest fads, ranges, quirky hotspots. Melbourne is such a hub of new things to do - there's always something fun and happening popping up.
Have you been the very latest Melbourne has to offer?
Here are a few you may not have been to yet.
Peaches is one of my new favourite new cocktail bars. Decked out in pretty shades of pink and gold. The rooftop bar offers lovely city views.
The menu is small but offers sandwiches, cocktails and their famous pickleback - (whisky with a chaser of pickle juice).
Millie & B Millie & B lay claim to their famous Crepe layered cake. They call it "Mille Crêpes Cake" a play on the thousand layer crêpe cake.
Although you won't exactly find 1000 layers in your Millie & B cake, they are created using 20 layers of delicate thin crepes.
As each crepe layer is placed down it is expertly filled with Millie & B's unique delicate pastry cream.

Tamura Sake Bar
Tamura Sake Bar offers a unique experience of making you not quite sure if you are in a record store or a sake bar, either way, it's pretty fun.
Funky jazz is often played out over the store to complement its delicious menu.
Owners Fumi and Takako Tamura's state that they wish to offer "an authentic Japanese izakaya dining experience." They advise "we source original sake, beer and the best music selection from Japan, we do our best to bring back the good memory you had in Japan, if you've been there, or make you want to travel there if haven't yet."
With delicious home made food, the dishes are small and healthy. You can choose from Omakase (Set Menu), Yakitori, Kobachi (small tapas), Sashimi, Agemono (Deep Fried) and Shime (Mains).

Evies Disco Diner
Evies Disco Diner is a new, somewhat anything goes, out there type of restaurant.
Offering a 50% vegan American diner menu, you may be forgiven for thinking you have stepped back into the 1980s.
With a warehouse style vibe, which was formerly an ironworks, you can nestle in to a booth, high table with stools or just dance the night away.
On the menu you will find American inspired classics including reuben sandwiches, mac and cheese, vegan chicken burger, salted peanut butter & maple waffle bowl served with dairy free ice cream and craft beers on tap with great cocktails.
Of course no American diner would be complete without milkshakes and you can make them adult version if you would like them spiked, they can even serve you vegan milkshakes.
