My husband and I recently moved west to Perth. We are excited to explore all this gorgeous city and state have to offer. As I discover things I shall share them with you. If you like an article "heart" it and subscribe to see more.

The sublime to the ridiculous mother-daughter activities
Whether you are a mother looking for an activity to bond with your daughter or a daughter wanting to spoil your Mum, here is a list of activities from the sublime to the ridiculous and the traditional to the outrageous.
High Tea I first took my daughter on a mother-daughter high tea outing for her 16th birthday. It has become an annual event that we both look forward to. It's so much fun to get dressed up and enjoy scrumptious delicacies while sipping tea and chatting about anything and everything (as only girls can do).

A Musical or Theatre Production There are so many shows on offer from local to big productions that it should be easy to find something that appeals to both your tastes.
I love looking down at my fingers or toes after a manicure or pedicure and seeing them looking pretty and pink… or maybe red, orange or blue is your preference.
Day Spa or Massage We girls love being pampered. It is such a luxury and something we might not buy ourselves so how about spoiling your mother or daughter with a relaxing massage or the full works at a day spa.
Brunch or Lunch Date I like the idea that there are times when calories don't count and I am sure when they are consumed on a mother and daughter outing this would be one of those times. So enjoy some delicious food together while bonding over a meal.
Beauty Makeover How about getting your make up done together, either for a special occasion or just for fun
Glamour Shot You could go all out with a gorgeous mother and daughter glamour shot. It would not only give you a fun day out but also create a permanent photograph of the memory.
Take a Class Together The range of amazing classes available is limited only by what is in your area. You could take a bread baking or macaron making class; or an ethnic cooking class like Moroccan, Thai, Indian or Spanish. My mouth is watering at the thought of any or all of these.
Do a Course Together Why not commit to an ongoing course together to learn a new skill. How about cake decorating, photography, African drumming, creative writing or maybe mechanics for women. Or how about learn a language and then travel to that country together. Oh, my imagination is going wild now.
Chick flick or movie night
I don't want to stereotype we girls so you may choose a chick flick or an action packed or thought provoking movie to share.
This bonding activity can even be done in the comfort of your own home, dressed in your PJ's eating snacks (with calories that don't count of course). My daughter grew up with older brothers and missed seeing the young girl films, so we are having fun catching up on lost childhood classics in her late teens.
More active activities
OK, let's hop out of the chair and get moving
My daughter and I love to be active. We have enjoyed going on bike rides together, standup paddle boarding and some day hikes.
More adventurous activities
You may want to get the adrenaline pumping a little more and go horse riding or go karting, or even do a mother and daughter bungy jump or sky dive. Eeeww, too extreme for me!
There are a range of walking tours available in most cities from food tours, like chocolate or sweet tours, to historical or architectural tours. Pick something that piques your interest.
My daughter and I had a mother and daughter helix piercing. I didn't know what that was either until we had it done. It's a piercing in the upper cartilage of the ear. (The things we do so our daughter thinks we are cool… or is that just me?)
Now this is one of the less traditional mother and daughter bonding activities and I must say I haven't done this one, but how about going for a tattoo together.
This is probably not a good time to point out that you could always invite Grandma to join you on these outings and make it a Mother-Daughter-Grandma activity.
So whether you are a mother, looking to build a strong relationship with your daughter, or a daughter looking for something fun to do with your mother on a Mother's Day or birthday outing, let your imagination go wild, enjoy each other's company and make lasting memories.
If you have any other ideas to add to this list we'd love to hear them in the comments.
