Soldiers Point Bowling Club will be hosting a 2 course Melbourne Cup Luncheon with a glass of bubbles on arrival, live entertainment, sweeps, full TAB facilities and prizes for best dressed. Tickets cost $37 per person. See here for details.

The Anchorage hotel will be having a 5 star celebration with a 3 course lunch and endless bubbles between 12pm - 3pm! Walk in with friends and be welcomed with a cocktail, then enjoy an oyster tower, share plates of local seafood, a choice of mains and then devour a decadent dessert board. Tickets cost $135 per person which includes lunch with a 3 hour bottomless Chandon sparkling wine package. Nelson Bay Bowling Club will be having a Melbourne Cup Day for golfers and non-golfers. Golfers can enjoy a shotgun 18 holes of golf, 2 course lunch, a complimentary glass of sparkling, prizes and sweeps for $50 members and $65 for visitors.
