1. Gorgeous Festival

The Gorgeous Festival takes place once a year in McLaren Vale. It is the perfect event to showcase the regions fabulous food and produces and their award-winning wines. But not only food and wine will be presented at this great event. Famous musicians perform on two stages and local artists present their creations and designs.

This year's line-up celebrates Australian music with headline act John Butler Trio performing on the Friday night along with Lanie Lane, Steve Smyth and Microwave Jenny and Laura Hill. On Saturday festival goers will enjoy Eskimo Joe, Blue King Brown, Adelaide's own The Audreys, Paul Greene, Thelma Plum (Triple J's Unearthed competition winner 2012) and more. Don't miss this fabulous artist.

Additionally to these amazing artists you enjoy great food from some excellent restaurants in the region, such as Fino, The Elbow Room, The Salopian Inn, Ampika's Kitchen & Home Grain Bakery. The menu will be perfected with ten of the top wines from McLaren Vale wineries, including Maxwell Wines, Settlement Wines, Oliver's Taranga, Serafino, Dowie Doole, Wirra Wirra, Chalk Hill, Sellick Hills Wine, Paxton Vineyards & Yangarra Estate.

2. Spring Picnic @ Cradle of hills

Enjoy tastings, tours and a picnic on the beautiful main lawn of the boutique winery Cradle of hills. In addition you can join a special Master class, which starts at 2.30 pm and is as well for free. Picnic lunches are available the whole day for purchase or bring your own. Don't miss this outstanding opportunity to visit a small winery and learn a lot about their wines.

3. Spring lamb & Spring Wine @ Yangarra

Yangarra Estate invites you to celebrate with them the new release of the 2012 Old Wine Grenache and Mourvedre 2012. But not only their wines are offered, you can also taste the Yangarra grown lamb on a spit for just $ 15 per person plus salads. Also for Vegetarians is taken care. Therefore bring your family to this fantastic place and enjoy a wonderful Sunday afternoon in the McLaren Vale.

4. Live Music @ Red Poles

This licensed café offers live music every Sunday afternoon in various styles of music. Some of the artists play regularly, like The Yearlings, The Baker Suite, Cal Williams Jr, Kylie Wilson, Rafa Godoy, Laura Hill and The Chines.

Enjoy you lunch or sip a glass of wine while listening to great sounds.

5. Sounds of Serafino

6. Live-entertainment @ Wirra Wirra

Enjoy 'Live Entertainment' every 3rd Sunday of the month at the well-known Wirra Wirra Vineyards.

BBQ/Picnic facilities are available on the site. The winery offers also cheese & local produce platters during your stay. BYO is not allowed, but you can buy their great wines directly from the cellar door.
