March will be undoubtedly one jam-packed month of events. There is something for everyone and all interests with the list below of free and ticketed events:

1. Madonna Tribute Party
When: 3 March 2017:From 10pm
Where: Imperial Hotel Newtown, 35 Erskineville

Details: Madonna fans embrace yourself for a celebration of dancing and non-stop Madonna music all night long. There will be performances and giveaways. Click here for the website.



2. Thirlmere Festival of Steam
When: 4 & 5 March 2017
Where: Barbour Rd, Thirlmere
Cost: Tickets range from $5-$25pp including family tickets
Details: This annual festival will be jam-packed with family-friendly fun with a community celebration of steam and nostalgia. There will be steam train displays, market stalls, music rides, rides, country fair and plenty more activities. Click here for the website.



3. Sydney Mardi Gras Parade
When: 4 March 2017: 7pm-11:30pm
Where: Oxford and Flinders Streets, Darlinghurst
Cost: Free
Details: Part of The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras event, this parade is one not to miss. There will be no shortage of colour and fun with more than 10,000 fabulous people parading. 4. High Tea at Hyde Park
When: 5 March 2017: 12pm-2pm
Where: Doltone House Hyde Park, Level 3, 181 Elizabeth St, Sydney

5. Water Polo by the Sea

6. Taste of Sydney

7. Parramasala

Where: Prince Alfred Square and Parramatta Riverbank, Parramatta and various locations across Parramatta as well as Harris Park- various locations.

8. A Moveable Feast
When: 11 March 2017
Where: Bondi Beach, Bondi

Details: This event is returning back to Bondi Beach, in partnership with acclaimed Aussie Chef and restaurateur Luke Mangan. The event will feature a culinary experience with pop-up dinner, part picnic and party. 9. From Russia with Life
When: 11 March 2017
Where: 409 Victoria Ave, Chatswood

10. Harbour Sculpture

11. Cinema in the Park
When: 17 March 2017: From 8pm
Where: Eastwood Plaza, Rowe St, Eastwood
Cost: Free
Details: This is the perfect family-friendly event and it will feature the movie: BFG, based on 10 year old Sophie who is in for the adventure of a lifetime when she meets the Big Friendly Giant. Naturally scared at first, the young girl soon realises that the 24-foot behemoth is actually quite gentle and charming. This fantasy adventure movie is based on Ronald Dahl's classic. 13. Cinema in the Park

Details: This family-friendly event will feature the Alice Through the Looking Glass movie: Alice has spent the past few years sailing the high seas. She returns to London and comes across a magical looking glass and returns to the fantastical realm of Underland and her friends the White Rabbit, the Cheshire cat and the Mad Hatter. There are four starting points and all routes track through some of Sydney's most picturesque suburbs before 'meeting in the middle' at Barangaroo Reserve. 25. PacFest and International Multicultural Food Festival
