Following on from the top kid-friendly February events in Sydney, I now bring you the top kid-friendly events to bring in the first month of autumn. Enjoy the journey Sydney. Remember, some of these events are free while others do come at a cost. These events are presented to you in date order; not in an order of preference.

1. Now & Then Markets - Festive Summer Festival

A family friendly market that is held around five times a year. The stunning backdrop would be what is the magical Cooks River right at Tempe/Wolli Creek. Multiculturalism reigns with a number of international food stalls. The kids of Sydney will love getting their faces painted, as well as the jumping castles to name. The organisers promise some additional treats for the kids. Now and then means vintage and retro meeting contemporary stuff. This market will be held on Sunday the 2nd of March. The theme: Autumn Leaves Festival. There are over 140 free car parking spaces. If coming by train, this event is only a 10-minute walk from Wolli Creek Train Station. Further information on this event can be found by clicking here.

2. Markets at Panthers

For those of you lovely readers who do not live on the South side, and live more in Sydney's West - this event is for you. These markets now run every second Saturday of every given calendar month, with the first beginning on the 8th of March between 9am to 2pm. The organisers promise over 70 stalls, and your child/children will love the free face painting and the jumping castles. This event will be held at Mulgoa Road in South Penrith. Further information on this event can be found by contacting (02) 4733 2411 or 0410 660 060.

3. The Campbelltown City Challenge Walk

The 23rd year this event will be held in March 2014. There is a choice from either the 6km fun walk, or the 11km endurance walk. Prizes will be available, and entry is categorised into 12 different age group categories. Ample parking is available on site, otherwise there is a free shuttle bus available from Campbelltown train station. Child minding services are available otherwise. Further information on this event can be found by clicking here.

Tickets: $9 per person if registered before the 6th of March 2014. Otherwise the entry fee goes up to $19 per person for late entry on the day. The organisers promise a community feel, even though you don't have to be a local in the area. Starts at The Australian Botanic Gardens in Mount Annan.

4. Ingleburn live

An annual festival held on the 15th of March. Times and further details are to be advised. Definitely top notch entertainment for the little ones. The event will end with fireworks, and there will be an abundance of rides, entertainment and activities. Free performances from Peppa Pig are available. Feel free to also keep your eyes on the Macarthur council site for further updates as they arise.

Thank you so much Sydney. Have a great March and please watch this space for April.
