This June, Melbourne will be welcoming the winter season with an array of fun and exciting events for all ages, interests and budgets.

There will be plenty of events ranging from festivals, music, exhibitions, opera, family-friendly events, foodies events to sport events and everything in between.

Be sure to scribble in the dates for a month-long of free & ticketed events across Melbourne and its surrounds.

1. Good Food & Wine Show 2018
When: 1-3 June 2018
Where: Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, 1 Convention Centre Place, South Wharf

2. Melbourne International Jazz Festival

3. Festival of Steve

4. Red Hot Winter Ball Victoria
When: 2 June 2018: 7pm-11:30pm
Where: The Plaza Ballroom, 191 Collins St, Melbourne

Details: The Heart Foundation will be hosting this event and will be raising awareness about heart disease in women. 7. Mind Body & Soul Festival

9. Brothers Wreck

Details: Jada Albert's breakout play is one of the most moving pieces to grace Australian stages in recent years. The play is about Ruben being filled with anger and dancing on the edge. Her sister Adele has already lost one brother and will not lose another. 12. Winter Wine Festival

13. Run Forrest Trail Train

Where: Barwon River Reserve, Hennigan Crescent, Forrest

Details: This 6th annual event will offer runners the most picturesque trails in Australia with 6km, 10km, 21km and the popular 5kms kid's circuit. 21. Mozart & The Classical Age
