See this quick list below for programs on both the north and south side of Canberra, if you are looking for something close to home. With so many choices, there is sure to be something to get your child jumping out of bed and ready for the day, these school holidays!
North Side of Canberra
1/ Sanguineti Media's Filmmaker HERO Workshop will be held at Canberra Technology Park in Watson, for kids aged 9 and over. Kids will learn how to create their own film and then enter it into the Canberra Short Film Festival! See here for details.
2/ Canberra Youth Theatre will be holding acting workshops for kids aged between 7 and 12 at Gorman Arts Centre in Braddon. The classes will have up to 16 kids and they will create a 10-15 minute theatre piece to perform at the end of the week for family and friends. See here for details.
3/ Canberra Potters at Watson Arts Centre will have school holiday workshops for kids who have an interest in clay and making pottery. Parents or carers can also book too, to learn alongside their child. See here for details.
4/ NIDA acting school will be holding workshops at Daramalan College in Dickson, for kids in Years 3 to 12 at school. They will be running classes in both July and October, so book early to avoid disappointment. See here for details.
6/ Australian Sports Camps will be running a 3 day netball camp at Merici College in Braddon, for 6 to 16 year olds. Book early for Early Bird Offers! See here for details.
7/ Coever Coaching will be holding soccer clinics for 4 to 16 year olds on the both sides of Canberra - in the north they will be held at the University of Canberra in Bruce these school holidays. See here for details.
8/ Canberra GIANTS School Holiday Programs, run by Netball ACT, will he held across the school holidays at the SolarHub ACT Netball Centre in Lyneham. The netball camps are organised into age brackets for kids aged between 5 to 15. See here for details.
9/ The Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) in Bruce will be holding school holiday programs in swimming, general sports, AFL, soccer and activities for pre-schoolers. See here for details.
10/ Winter Music School, run by Young Music Society, will be holding music classes at Macquarie Primary School. These classes are open to any students between Kindergarten to Year 6 at school - no musical experience is required. See here for details.
11/ Winter Singing School will be held in Macquarie, for kids aged between 8 to 18. The classes will be held by Canberra Vocal Development and include group and solo training to help kids become a well-rounded performer. See here for details.

12/ The National Zoo and Aquarium in Yarralumla will be running their popular school holiday program called Zoocation, where kids get to go behind the scenes and learn about the animals, make toys for them and be part of the working zoo for the day. Book early! See here for details.
13/ Canberra Yacht Club in Yarralumla will be holding sailing classes on Lake Burley Griffin, for kids aged between 7 to 17 years. See here for details.
14/ Kids Pantry cooking school is located in Deakin and they offer a whole host of cooking workshops during term-time and also in the school holidays, for kids aged 5 to 18 years. The best part? Kids can eat their creations and then go home and make it again for Mum and Dad! See here for details.
15/ The Ian Potter Foundation in Deakin (run by Questacon and located next to the Royal Australian Mint), will be holding school holiday workshops for young inventors! See here for details.
16/ Forest Park Riding School in Stromlo will be offering horse riding classes for kids aged 7 to 16, which include learning about horses, grooming them and the chance to ride twice daily. See here for details.

17/ Swish Education offer school holiday workshops at both Campbell and Weston Creek, with classes such as Super Hero League, Introducing Robotics and Fruit and Vegetable Science. Click on your child's year at school and check out the options. See here for details.
