Beat the boredom these school holidays
The winter school holidays are on their way! Are you wondering what you are going to do whilst living, or holidaying, around the Nelson Bay region? Of course, there are the usual fun activities to do (see the article Top 40 Things to do For Kids in Nelson Bay, Port Stephens), however, there are also a wide range of events planned just for the holidays. Don't forget - you can still use your Dine & Discover vouchers until 31st July!
Keep reading for 10 activities and events which will be happening around the region for locals and tourists alike. The kids will love every minute - have fun in the bay and beyond!
1/ Shoal Bay Country Club will be hosting free activities for the kids such as pony rides, petting zoo, a reptile show, magic show, slime making, kids disco, jumping castle and more! See here for details. For a full article on the food and dining options at Shoal Bay Country Club, see here.
2/ Go Whale Watching and make the most of this stunning area, with thousands of whales migrating past the headlands each season. You can view them from the whale watching platforms at Barry Park in Fingal Bay, Boat Harbour and from the top of Tomaree Head Summit Walk - if you have the energy! You can also get out on the water with Moonshadow TQC Cruises - they also accept Discover vouchers.
