Sydney will be back with events galore this July
With most restrictions easing (at time of writing) across Sydney and New South Wales, there is no better way than to go out this July and enjoy events again!

The list below features free & ticketed events across Sydney and surrounds including virtual events:

1. Biennale of Sydney

When: Wednesday, 1 July 2020-6 September 2020
Where: Various locations- see details
Cost: See website.
Details: The Biennale of Sydney will be re-opening this June, and this exhibition will showcase more than 700 artworks by 101 artists and collectives from around the world. The exhibition was meant to open in March but, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, closed to the public after only 10 days.

Exhibitions will be showcased at Art Gallery of New South Wales, Artspace, Campbelltown Arts Centre, Cockatoo Island, and Museum of Contemporary Art. The National Art School will not exhibit due to the NSW Government not allowing it to re-open. Click here for the website.

2. The Rocks Dreaming Aboriginal Heritage Walking Tour

When: Wednesday, 1 July 2020-26 September 2020
Where: Cadmans Cottage, 110 George St, The Rocks
Cost: Adults: $44pp & Children: $32pp
Details: This 90-minute leisurely walkabout tour with an Aboriginal guide will get you inspired as you discover the oldest ecology, conservation, sustainability, astrology, and spiritual beliefs on earth today. The tour will also allow you to discover how the ancient Aboriginal Dreaming is still alive within modern Sydney landscape and how the billion-year-old harbour, marine, environment, sandstone strata, waterways, flora & fauna influenced how Aboriginal people lived in the area. 3. Class Bento Online Workshops

5. A Thousand Words Exhibit

When: Wednesday, 1-31 July 2020
Where: Online
Cost: Free
Details: 'A picture tells a thousand words'. This online exhibition showcases 100 of the most compelling photogenic images from the rich collections of Sydney Living Museums and the State Archives and Records Authority of NSW, created between the 1880s and the 1980s. Click here for the website.

6. Paint & Sip Classes

8. Tai-Chi Beginner Classes

Details: This class will focus on awareness, breathing and visualisation techniques that will help to promote a deeper sense of relaxation and focus. 12. Online School Holiday Program

Details: The Korean Cultural Centre Australia will be offering an online school holiday program that the little ones will love! The virtual sessions will include interactive hands-on activities of making jogak (patchwork) brooch as well as a Korean children's book storytime via Zoom. 13. The Ultimate Survivor Super Fan Quiz Show

When: Wednesday, 8 July 2020: 7pm-10pm
Where: Macquarie University, Balaclava Road, North Ryde
Details: This game quiz show will feature both US and Australian series best players who have ever been on the show, as well as a Q&A session, and first prize-winning team will win a five-night, all expenses trip to Fiji, with an official tour of past survivor camps, including Mamanuca Island, the location of season 39. 14. Pottery Wheel Intensive for Teens

When: Wednesday, 8 & 9 July 2020: 10am-4pm

Details: This workshop for teens will include an introduction to pottery, with a two-day intensive workshop where they will learn and practice the basics of wheel throwing pottery. I do enjoy these...I am 90 and go on trips with Holdsworth Community at Woollahra....they have had a zoom during the stand down so that those who go on their trips can have a chat.
