1.
Akita
Everything on the seasonal menu is fabulous! A great venue to pick-up takeaway when hosting a group of friends so you can choose multiple items to share. They do takeaway alcohol too. For sashimi loving solo diners, the must-order is the Chirashi - a variety of fresh seafood and vegetables on a bowl of sushi rice - incredible value at $28. The only downfall is that they do not deliver, but it is a convenient location (34 Courtney Street, North Melbourne) close to public transport and a short walk from the Parkville medical precinct.
2.
Hanabishi
The best sashimi delivered to your door. I recommend the Chef's choice assorted sashimi for a healthy fresh meal perfect for summer or for something warm on cooler evenings, order the melt in your mouth grilled black cod steeped in sweet miso or the grilled eel kabayaki with a sweet sauce. Fast and friendly delivery service or place your order and pick-up to get a 10% discount. Located 187 King Street, Melbourne.
3.
Sushi N Poke
Best value for money. This deluxe unagi bento box for under $25 will satisfy the most hungry stomach. It's a great way to taste different flavours as it includes a hot meal (meat, fish and vegetarian options) on a bed of rice, as well as sashimi, crab claw, octopus balls, spring rolls, and more. Change requests on sides accepted. It also comes with a side serve of miso soup. Order from DoorDash or DeliverRoo for fast delivery from their Southbank location.
