Here are some fantastic high teas to go to
High tea is that meal in between lunch and dinner, or perhaps it is instead of lunch? Either way, it is one I enjoy. I find it interesting seeing how the different restaurants and cafes can present this attractive in between meal.
Here are some high teas and similar events on for March through to June 2019.
This delicious looking high tea will be on 17th March 2019, from 12 noon to 4.30 pm. It will be held at Ginza Miyako Japanese Restaurant, Level 1, 150 North Terrace, Adelaide.
This is a very different high tea, being Japanese and should be very good. It is also more of a lunchtime event. Here you will be served Japanese/French style sweet and savoury dishes with as much coffee and tea as you wish and a glass of bubbly on arrival. The cost will be $55, and you can pay on arrival.
For the many of us who just adore chocolate and anything associated with it, this event is one we cannot miss! It will be held on 14th April, from 2 pm to 4 pm. The venue is the Stamford Plaza, 150 North Terrace, Adelaide.
They have described it as "an afternoon of decadence with our Chocolate Factory high tea." You will sip on your favourite tea, while you eat chocolate pastries and petite fours. They have a new selection of finger sandwiches and hot/savoury options, a chocolate dipping fountain and an espresso martini!
You will also have a chance to win a 10kg chocolate bar, which is handmade by their pastry team. They can cater for special diets if advised when booking and you can see a menu at the above link.
Cost is around $60 and you can make your bookings at this link.
Nutella is that oozy sweet topping for just about anything and it is hazelnuts and chocolate which is a match made in heaven! On the 20th April, Nutella-Palooza 2019 will be on from 12 noon to 7 pm. The venue will be the Morphettville Racecourse, 79 Morphett Road, Morphettville.
At this Palooza, you will be able to lick your spoons clean - what a delightful thought! Nutella will be there by the truckload, literally. There will be over 50 food trucks and vendors serving about 1000 different varieties of Nutella based foods. There will be items such as Nutella cocktails, Nutella waffles, Nutella pizza, Nutella shakes and specially brewed for this event only, Nutella beer!
Check out the above link to find out more about this fabulous event. Entry cost is $10 and you can make your bookings at this link. If you book online, you can avoid the queues.
Harry Potter High Tea
This is hosted by Lady Green's High Tea and will be held on 16th May, from 1 pm to 3 pm. The venue is the Commercial Hotel, Hallett Cove, Port Adelaide. This will also be on the 9th of June.
This Harry Potter-themed high tea will have petit fours, savouries and sandwiches served with a complimentary cocktail in the private area of the hotel. The prices are $49 for adults and you can find out more at the above link.
Get Baked will be on Saturday 18th May, from 10 am to 8 pm. The venue will be 230 Flinders St, Adelaide.
This event is for the sweet tooth and one I am envious over as I will be unable to attend due to high sugar levels! This will be the ultimate dessert destination. It will be a whole day full of sweet delights such as patisseries, shakes, doughnuts, macarons, cakes, slices, ice cream, chocolates, brownies and so much more. This will be one of the best sweet tooth events of the year and entry will be free.
The High Tea Party Adelaide
This high tea will be on 22nd June. It will have a twist in that it will have high tea with sparkling wine at a five-star venue while watching a fashion parade! The venue is the Hilton Adelaide, 233 Victoria Square.
There are several sittings for this one with general admission at 10:30 am, 12:30 pm, 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm. Each general admission will last one hour.
The tickets cost $60 and you can make your bookings at this link.
