History buffs and people who appreciate our built heritage will be spoiled for choice by the huge About Time History Festival program - an annual feast of history related events held all about South Australia in May. While there is a small charge to cover many events, you can find a guide to selected free things to do here.
Market junkies are in luck this month with the return of the Saturday Night Market at Morphett Vale on May 2. Expect more than 80 market stalls, and the first hundred people through the door will bag some free booty.
The Bowerbird Design Market on May 1-3 will cost you a fiver to get in, but it's not just about shopping. Enjoy live music entertainment, gourmet food for sale, and an outside bar will give you a break from buying.
But are sure about the Stirling Laneways Market? There will of course be the regular Stirling Market (centred on Druids Avenue) but the last (April) Laneways Market was very big and when I collected an order from one of the stalls the stallholder said there wouldn't be a Laneways Market for the next few months.
After googling I find that "The next Stirling Laneways is on Sunday, September 27, 2015 from 10-4pm"
