1. Sculpture By the Sea
2nd to 19th March 2018
Cottesloe Beach Sculpture By the Sea is the world's largest free sculpture exhibition, with over 70 pieces from artists from all over the world, and an expected audience of close to a quarter million people over the two-week event. While it is busiest on weekends, early mornings prove to be a peaceful time to explore and interact with the amazing pieces. A must on the Free calendar.
3rd, 4th and 5th March 2018 Hyde Park This fair just gets bigger and better, stretching over the entire March long weekend (well, two days and a night) and incorporating everything from market stalls and sideshow rides, food stalls and workshops, multicultural displays and demonstrations, plus lots and lots of live music and entertainment. Not to be missed.
4th March 2018 Point Walter Foreshore This popular annual event has everything going for it – free entertainment and music, kids activities and fireworks! Best of all, it's on the long weekend, so you don't have to worry about work or school the next day.
10th March 2018 Cambridge St, Wembley Visit the heart of Wembley as the main street is transformed into a giant party with rides and games, circus performers, markets stalls, live entertainers, kids entertainments, food stalls and more. Plenty of fun for the whole family.
Swanbourne Reserve This popular event is for children, teens and families and involves an afternoon of free water rides and slides, water games, obstacle course, bouncy castles, water rollers and so much more. There will be entertainment, chill zones, food for sale, community stalls and performances.
17th and 18th March 2018
Mandurah foreshore The Mandurah CrabFest is not only award-winning, but it's also WA's biggest free regional event. With over 100 hours of live entertainment over two huge days, plus excitement on the water, fireworks, celebrities and of course – lots and lots of crabs to eat.

Curtin Stadium, Curtin University Hosted by Curtin Uni, AstroFest is for anyone who loves staring at the heavens or wishing for the stars. There will be a range of indoor and outdoor activities, and you are encouraged to come early with a picnic and make a night of it under the stars.

Whiteman Park This family-friendly festival is not only plenty of fun (eco-craft, face painting, Children's Forest Walk) but the premier event in Perth to learn about green and sustainable living. There will be displays, workshops, talks, and plenty of market stalls selling eco-friendly products and sustainable and healthy living products.

Venues in Toodyay Young and old alike are invited to shake a tail feather as the town of Toodyay is given over to buskers and musos from all genres of music. There will be plenty of food and market stalls and other things to do in this pretty little town an hour from Perth.

Hyde Park All are welcome to this full-day, totally free event which brings radio to the park. Be part of a live audience as RTR presenters play their favourite tunes, kids can play on the bouncy castle, do arts and crafts, take a hula-hooping workshop. There will be a licenced bar and plenty of food stalls and it's even dog-friendly.
