[b] 1. KIDS EAT FREE[/b]
Children can have a FREE breakfast or dinner at the Courtside Restaurant throughout the July School Holidays. There will be one free child's meal per paying adult. This offer valid from 30th June to 15th July, 2018.

[b]2. CHINESE CERAMICS REVEALED[/b]
This collection is from a private collection in Perth.

It represents many Chinese ceramic objects of superb artistic quality. These range from the 5th century BC or the Warrior State period through to the late 20th century.



This will be on at the Perth Cultural Centre, on Sunday 1st July, 2018 from 10 am to 5 pm.

[b]3. WRITER'S BLOC: WRITE HERE MONTHLY[/b]
This event is hosted by Centre for Stories and if you are ready to "kick writing's butt" and meet with literary people, then this is the event for you!

It will be a great opportunity to do some writing. Here you will have plenty of time for writing individually while mixing with other writers.



The group will also discuss your ideas at the end of the session if you wish to get some feedback on your work.

[b]4. FREE CITY WALKING TOURS[/b]
It is often very interesting when you do a tour like this in your own city. You can find some places that you did not know existed!

In the City of Perth, there is much to see and do that you may possibly not know all about.

At iCity, there is a group of trained volunteers who will help visitors and locals discover the City of Perth. The iCity Information Kiosk is in the Murray Street Mall at the intersection of Forrest Place.

[b]5. FREE KIDS EXERCISE CLASSES FOR THE WINTER HOLIDAYS[/b]
Surge Fitness is having these programmes to ensure healthy lifestyle habits are created from an early age.

At Surge, they believe exercise should be fun as well as being an important education explaining the need for exercise.

They, therefore, have programmes from ages 4 through to 13 years. They will be on 3rd to 12th July, 2018



These classes are held 10 Telethon Avenue, Perth and there is plenty of parking at the Perth Arena.

[b]6. PERTH STAMP & COIN SHOW[/b]
This will be held on Friday 6th July from 1.00 pm - 6.00 pm
Saturday 7th July from 10.00 am - 4.00 pm
Sunday 8th July from 10.00 am - 3.00 pm

This popular annual event will be held for the sixth time at the South Perth Community Centre. It will feature some 29 international, interstate and local dealers selling.

There will also be collector "flea market" tables for those looking for a bargain. Here you can buy stamps, coins, banknotes and collectables. There is FREE entry with $1,500 door prizes.



[b]7. ALBATROSS - THE MOVIE[/b]
This movie will screen on Friday 6th July, 2018 from 6: 00 pm – 9:00 pm. It will be held at the Currambine Community Centre, 64 Delamere Avenue.

This film is by Chris Jordan and is a powerful expedition into the gut-wrenching environmental tragedy.

On an island in the remote North Pacific Ocean, tens of thousands of Laysan albatross chicks are dead on the ground, their bodies filled with plastic. This film leads us on a journey, as we face this tragedy we must also confront our own complicity head on.



Chris Jordan is an Internationally-acclaimed photographer who made this beautiful and powerful film.

[b]8. AFRICA, ASIA AND THE JOB[/b]
This will be on Thursday 12th July 2018, from 12 noon to 1.00 pm. It will be held at the City of Perth Library, 573 Hay Street.

Africa, Asia and the Job details John Holan's experiences working as a tour guide in Africa and Asia.

You will find out about his fascinating adventures leading a group up Mt Kilimanjaro, rafting on the Zambezi River and travelling the Karakoram Highway.

Hear about the circumstances that people living in these countries face daily.



Although this is a free event, you need to book as places are limited, and you can do this here .

[b]9. GO GREEN HOUSE[/b]
This interesting event will be held at the Ruth Faulkner Public Library, 215 Wright Street, Cloverdale. It will be on 18th July, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

Here you will look at cleaning and personal care products and there will be a demonstration of cheap, effective and easily made cleaning products.

You will also find out how to reduce single-use plastics, e.g. beeswax wraps, Boomerang bag etc. Recycling and upcycling will also be discussed.

[b]10. ASSEMBLING THE HUMAN BODY - A TALE TOLD BY FOSSILS[/b]
This will be held on Friday 27th July, 2018, from 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm. It will be held at the University Club Auditorium, The University of Western Australia, Hackett Drive, Crawley and presented by Professor John Long, College of Science and Engineering, Flinders University, South Australia.

Professor Long researches the early [i]"evolution of vertebrates in order to unravel the early stages of how the modern vertebrate body plan was assembled"[/i].
