There is always something happening at one of the most popular tourist attractions, Federation Square. Located in the centre of Melbourne, it's a great place to be, an awesome place to watch all the action, and a fantastic way to be among the hustle and bustle of the Melbourne CBD.

Hosting around 2,000 events a year, Fed Square offer a fantastic calendar jam packed with cultural festivals, exhibitions, event launches, concerts and workshops, just to name a few. Many of these events are free and family friendly, with some running throughout the year, some for only a few weeks, and some for just a few days.

The official Federation Square website lists all the happenings available night and day so be sure to check it out.

I've compiled a short list of freebies at Fed Square, all of which are available during the month of February 2014.
