An increasing popular Christmas event for many locals, the Scandinavian Christmas Bazaar attracts over 12,000 visitors each year. Held in the abundant green gardens which surround Toorak House, you can enjoy a relaxing stroll an amazing array of stalls offering design, textiles, handicrafts, glassware, quirky gifts and Christmas decorations. Kids will be entertained by a bouncy castle and adorable farm animals.
The bazaar also features live Scandinavian and traditional Christmas music as well as a Lucia procession. The ever-popular Myer Christmas Animated Windows returns to the Bourke Street Mall this festive season. It attracts over 1.2 million kids and adults every year. With the construction at City Square, Santa has decided to head over to Queen Victoria Market. You and your family can take photos sitting on Santa's throne as well as with jolly old Saint Nick in person as he wanders the market. Federation Square and Docklands take centre stage as they come alive with Christmas light projections. These animated shows will be projected onto the 'Silence' sculptures along New Quay Promenade in Docklands and create a kaleidoscope of colours, unlike the traditional animation.
