It's February, and that means the big kids are back at school and the world is your oyster, once again – well, at least between the hours of 8:30am and 3pm. Now that school's back, it's time to start thinking about how you'll keep the toddlers and pre-schoolers in your life entertained for a few hours. A to Zoo is a fun, eight-week term of activity about animals and has been specifically designed for children aged two to five years. Participants will meet a different animal each week through storytelling, craft, movement and music. After learning about the animal, the children journey through the Zoo grounds to find the animal. Popular Wiggly duo Emma and Lachy are coming to Perth! Throughout February, you and your pre-schoolers can enjoy singing along with Emma and Lachy in their very own show! The tour will visit various locations throughout Perth and regional WA, with two shows a day at 10am and 12:30pm between Tuesday, 13th February to Sunday, 25 February.

Froggy's Fun on the Green is a free family-friendly mobile outdoor play session for families or carers with children aged 0 to 5 years. The program includes activities for children and is a chance for mums, dads and carers to connect with others, access information on child development and get support in their parenting roles in a family-friendly environment. Froggy's operates during school terms on Mondays and Tuesdays. During the play sessions, kids can get hands-on with playdough, games and toys.

Toddler Sense is a program by the team behind early learning initiative Baby Sensory and is suitable for children aged between 13 months and 4 years. These fun and interactive classes draw on a particular theme and include songs, games, puppets, music and free play.
Rhyme Time and Story Time – local libraries Most local libraries run a variation of Rhyme Time, a singing and rhyme session for children aged up to 2 years, and Story Time, for children aged up to 4 years. Check out the City of Perth Library program, for example, here.
