by Nikkii Joyce (subscribe)
I'm a Sunshine Coast journalist who jumped out of a lengthy mainstream media career 18 months ago to do some hearty work for the soul. A pescatarian sharing with you her secrets on our little piece of coast paradise.
Event: -
TEQUILA on the town? Or a breakee OJ before a mountain climb? My monthly column 'Tequila Sunrise' is the best of both worlds. Here are my top reasons to get out and witness a spectacular Sunshine Coast sunrise - whether you are heading home or just getting started....

Join the fun this Australia Day at Aussie World!

NIK'S PIK:- IT'S hard to go past our national public holiday as a day to look forward to this month. So I won't.
Despite all the negative publicity regarding some unfortunate behaviour in recent years, Australia is a day where family comes together before heading to their respective homes for the New Year. And if you're like me, you'll find yourself just as dirty and in as much trouble as your much younger nieces and nephews - as shown here at Aussie World late last year.
There's no big surprises for must-see events this public holiday, the Dunny Races outside Aussie World and the Haviana Thong World Record Attempt remain the standouts so be sure to catch them if you can.
