I'm a Sunshine Coast journalist who jumped out of a lengthy mainstream media career 18 months ago to do some hearty work for the soul. A pescatarian sharing with you her secrets on our little piece of coast paradise.
Published January 30th 2013
WHETHER you're in love with love and looking to shout it to the world for the next 28 days or you're recent lot in love luck has a kickboxing class on your schedule this Valentine's Day - those in love and out can take the pressure off and be inspired by my pick for the best reasons to see the sun rise on the Sunshine Coast this romance-riddled month of FEBRUARY

NIK'S PIK - "Animal A-fare" THEY are as attached to our treasured life's memories as our children, our parents and our friends. But truth be told - they are the only ones who will lend a listening ear without giving you a piece of their mind.

My British staffy Moses - who some of you make recognise from his guest starring role right here on my Weekend Notes blog, features in every treasured memory of the last six years - it's hard to remember life without him! Sadly though, not everyone feels this way about their pets. RSPCA Qld requires $30 million annually to support our animal centres, programs and services. As a non-government, community based charity, RSPCA Qld receives less than 1% of government funding and relies on donations, bequests and sponsorships from ordinary Queenslanders, just like you.

So be the voice of your furred family member and give a second chance to those those not-so-fortunate to land on your doorstep.
