Adventures to make you warm from the inside out....

VOKDA. Check. Orange juice. Check. Spectacular sunrises? Check. Check. And Check. So don't let the drop in temperature see you trade your nights on the town or days of adventure for a comfy spot on the couch to watch tired TV. There's plenty of mischief/excitement/fun to be had as I share with you the best reasons to see the sun rise this month on the Sunshine Coast!
NIK'S PIK
- SO it's the month that marks the peak of six months of anticipation, semi-lack-lustre preparation and serious stone-cold fear. It's Tough Mudder Time! That's 20 kilometres of mud and more than 20 obstacles including an iced water-filled dumpster, a real life glacier and a muddy-watered low-crawl pit where just centimetres overhead live wires are still and patient - awaiting their next victims. It's said to be the most extreme sports challenge on the planet, with more than 700,000 people from across the world having taken part. That's right check that sentence again "take part" - not "finish". Because the British Special Forces - who created said torture - say about a quarter of participants don't make it to the end. I'm sorry - please explain. Is it an overwhelming desire for the powder room? Cramps? Or do the beaten and bone-weary corpses just sink dramatically into the mud pits never to be seen again? I'll let you know - because I'll be sitting in the stands for at least part of the race cheering on my long-suffering husband, Stixy. (Work commitments prevented me from registering this week. Who says employers don't take requests?) And as one of my less-flattering enjoyments in life is watching others subject themselves to crazy physical encounters and the hilarity that ensues, I have a feeling I'm going to enjoy myself. What can I say - guilty as charged. Maybe the tables will turn and I'll trip up the grandstand stairs landing smack bang on my smug face?%%
