Unmissable events in Melbourne
Spring into September with these unmissable events. Longer and warmer days calls for more outdoor activities and the promise of near approaching summer!

Spring fashion.
1. Melbourne Spring Fashion Week (MSFW)
Be inspired by the latest fashion at the MSFW 2014, from 30th August-7th September. MSFW 2014 events provide an opportunity for established and emerging local designers, brands and retailers to present new season looks. Free and ticketed events, including workshops, parades, installations, exhibitions, and parties at various locations around the city.

2. Market Week

Celebrate Melbourne Market Week, from Saturday 6th September through to Sunday 14th September 2014, at Melbourne's top markets - South Melbourne, Prahran, Queen Victoria, and Dandenong Markets. Each one hosts a series of events including free tastings, cooking classes and demonstrations, free music, children's activities, giveaways, and free market tours. A week of family friendly activities, so show your support to local producers and artisans, and celebrate our global community.

3. A.F.L Grand Final

Melbourne, the sporting capital of the nation, draws people from near and afar for the A.F.L finals. Be a part of the action by purchasing a ticket to a match on a weekend in September, or find your nearest sports bar/pub and watch the final two teams battle it out for the 2014 premiership title on Saturday 27th September. Top bars to watch the finals include Wharf Hotel, Boatbuilders Yard, and Republica. Even if you are not into the footy, the energising crowds will have you cheering, jeering, and getting involved in spirited friendly rivalry.

4. Father's Day

Sunday September 7th, marks a day to show our fathers and father figures how much we love and appreciate them. Enjoy celebrating the occasion through acts of appreciation shown through a day outing, attending or running a charity fund-raising event for mens' health, gift giving, sharing a meal, or most importantly, spending time together.

5. Melbourne Fringe Festival

Running from 17th September through to 7th October, see inspirational works at the Melbourne Fringe Festival, including music, cabaret, performance and visual arts, dance, kids programs, and comedy, from over 4000 independent artists.

Happy Spring Melbourne!
