The Melbourne Food and Wine Festival is back from 27 February to 15 March 2015 with more than 200 events to ignite your taste buds. There are various excellent events catered towards kids so if you have a little one at home, don't forget to bring them along. See below for my top picks.

For those little chefs who like to cook up a storm in the kitchen, there are some excellent workshops on offer.

The Kids Cooking Workshop is a hands-on workshop perfect for all primary-aged children. They will have so much fun as they discover fresh garden produce before heading to the kitchen to make scrumptious veggie pizzas and sweet treats. Don't forget to bring your camera as you'll want to snap some memorable pictures.

Kids Cook Lunch with George is an excellent workshop giving kids the opportunity to prepare and present a two course lunch for Mum or Dad. For a taste of Asia the Asian Market Tour & Dumplings is just for you. This guided tour allows you to discover Box Hill Central's marvellous Fresh Food Market before getting your hands dirty to make your own dumplings. Come with an empty stomach because you'll be tasting all sorts of Asian flavours while learning about the culture.
